A very good morning everyone and welcome to you as we begin this season of Epiphany, which enables us to continue in that sense of joy and wonder and celebration which began at Christmas with the birth of our saviour. The arrival of the wise men is a wonderful reminder that because of Jesus, all people everywhere are included in the reach of the gospel. We continue our new year series, ‘Start as we mean to go on’ from 2 Corinthians, where we hear the apostle Paul reflecting on the tension between his outward physical frailty and the inward spiritual renewal that the Lord is bringing him. Holding these two things together he is able to conclude with comfort, ‘therefore we do not lose heart.’
