We’re continuing through the book of Nehemiah, today from chapter 12.
With the wall of Jerusalem now finished, it’s time for the great opening, a dedication ceremony to the Lord their God, and a real high-point of the book as Nehemiah leads the people of Jerusalem in a day of thankfulness and praise.
Through these previous chapters we’ve also seen much spiritual progress in the lives of the people. Great assemblies where God’s word has been read have led to days of feasting and confession and praise… Here are a people who are beginning to know what it means to live as God’s faithful people and to glorify God in their lives.
