We’re at the beginning of the new school term and we’re beginning a new series of Bible talks from the book of Nehemiah.
The book begins in chapter one with Nehemiah the prophet over in Babylon, hearing news that the wall of his beloved city of Jerusalem is broken down and its gates are burned with fire.
Nehemiah is troubled and burdened by the news and is moved to do something about it – but rather than rushing into action he comes before the God of heaven and he calls on the Lord.
