Our Bible teaching today is continuing in the book of Nehemiah, chapter three, where we see a huge team of people getting their hands dirty as under Nehemiah’s direction, they begin to put Jerusalem back together.
Maybe the most surprising thing here is the incredible diversity of trades and professions that roll up their sleeves and do their bit for the project. From priests to perfume-makers, there’s room for everyone in God’s building team.
With so much positivity, it’s interesting to read about the Noble men from Tekoa, who make it to Nehemiah’s list for the wrong reasons – the only group who refused to help out. We’ll see how much better it is to be noted for joining in, rather than missing out.
