We’re continuing our new series of Bible teaching from the book of Nehemiah, today in chapter 2.
Nehemiah has been very troubled about the news of the state of Jerusalem and we’ll hear today of his visit to the king, where he asks that he might go to Jerusalem and begin to rebuild the city. He also asks for the kings help in providing materials and safe passage.
Remarkably, the king is happy to oblige, so Nehemiah sets off and on arrival in Jerusalem he begins to appreciate the scale of the work that needs doing.
