Our theme today is ‘Finding joy in hardship’ – as we look more
closely at 2 Corinthians chapter 6. In these verses, the Apostle Paul
is reflecting on his long life and ministry, which has been something
of a rollercoaster, many the ups and downs, there’s been much joy
together with much hardship.
This is often our own experience as followers of Jesus. Few of us
have been immune to struggles and hardships, yet we’ve also
known many good times in following our Lord. How do we hold
those ideas together? Paul sums up his own experience, ‘sorrowful,
yet always rejoicing’.
