Thanking God for harvest

Sunday 23 September saw us celebrating harvest at Holy Trinity. Given that we are a long way from fields and farms, we could feel somewhat removed from the whole concept of harvest. But it’s important to be reminded that all that we have to live comes from the goodness of God, and as Giles reminded us in his talk, God keeps his promises! As usual people gave generously of non-perishable foods for the local food bank Bras Ouverts, and our collection will go to help persecuted Christians through Barnabas Aid. In addition this year — and appropriately — we launched Eco Church and the church’s commitment to this. (More information on this later, but click the link to find out more.)

Update: people gave generously to our offering and we raised €1,215 for persecuted Christians.
